Passion for a cause does not always mean being loud and proud.

I wanted to create a way for a person to express their ideals and opinions in a way that made them feel safe.
This project began with Feminism, it is something I am incredibly passionate about and something I have personal experience with but it has plenty of room to expand into lots of other areas.

This originally began as a simple sticker project from my final year at university
but I felt there was more to it and it had the potential to be a lot better. I decided to completely rework everything about it - creating a brand and then treating the stickers as a ‘product’ instead.

This project has stuck with me for a long time and I keep coming back to it, considering how I can improve this and take it even further.

The originally designs for these stickers were all about bold pinks and simplified illustrations. After coming back to my designs a few times, I realised it felt to simple and came across as very generic surface level feminism. I wanted to present this as not just a “girls only” product but something that could speak to every genre of person.

The orange and blue have a great contrast that I think makes it really stand out. It also leans more into the idea of a “flatpack” with the colours bringing a more construction vibe.

My next goal for this project would be to delve deeper into the stickers I could create that really relate to the political climate impacting us today.
